Incorrectly called by some and not to be confused with the "Doors of No Return."
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE BLACK DOORS OF TEARS?
These doors were discarded and almost destroyed by those who deemed
them unimportant when the Cape Coast Slave Castle was renovated. The
Castle was built in 1665. They are the only doors of it's kind that
holds the untold stories of the slaves that were held captive in the Castle dungeons.
